Senior Financial Accountant

We're excited to welcome an organized and proactive Senior Financial Accountant with focus on Audits, Financial Compliancy and tax-filings. In this role, you'll be key in managing and setting up a decent and trustworthy audit process. If you're a true Number Nymph, Audit Monster or Math Rambo we'd love to hear from you!

What you will do:

• Quality of bookkeeping: work closely with the team to challenge the correctness of our administration

• Preparing our audits: analyze and prepare all reconciliation files and implement a clear audit routing

• Specialized knowledge for financial compliance: align with stakeholders on financial risks

• Owner of our tax filings: prepare and own the correctness of our tax filings

Why would you want this position?

You have experience with handling books from an auditing perspective, but want to look on the other side of the table. How are these books shaped and what are the business processes behind them? You'll no longer be working off checklists, but will have the responsibility to own the quality of our books. You'll be working closely with our CFO, Head of Finance, Senior Financial controller and various stakeholders throughout our rapidly growing business.

You want to make impact: Rather than being part of a big team within a big corporation, you want to have autonomy and responsibility. All freedom is there to shape your own position within the organization and set the foundation for growth  of our organization ánd the finance team.Your work will go from daily challenges as being involved with implementing new processes and do checks on our balances and cash flow, to monthly support on the tax-filings, checks on reconciliation files and finding the anomalies within the monthly closing. Where you work quarterly on support of the Senior Financial Controller with reporting and aligning with the Business Controller on Last Estimates and forecasting, ending up the year with all preparations for the year close and audits.

The ideal candidate:

• You have at least 3 years of experience audit or a similar role (big-4 or MKB accountancy).

• Used to work in a fast-paced environment, where change is the default

• Proactive work ethic, taking ownership of problems and fixing them

• Strong communicator with the knowledge to back up your argumentation

• You are a self-starter, who can identify his/ her own areas of focus and come up with smart solutions, after consultation with various stakeholders.

• You are fluent in English and knows your way around in Dutch

• You are comfortable with accounting software and Excel / Google Sheets, with strong attention to detail.

• You are comfortable with working at least 3 days onsite.

• You're a true builder: You want to build the foundation and financial structures of our organization. Your allergy is when everything is already structured and processes are in place.
